What is Resident-Centred Care?

Optima Living is proud to offer resident-centred care at our communities. Resident-centred care is a model of care for seniors that invites, accommodates, and respects their personal wishes and desires in healthcare and lifestyle decisions. Resident-centred care can enhance well-being in every aspect—physical, intellectual, creative, and spiritual.

Introducing Oakwood Manor:

The Optima Living
Annual Food Bank Challenge:
Building Community Through Compassion

Our Optima Living-wide Food Bank Day drive was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your support means that we can keep giving back to the communities we live and work in.

If you would like to continue supporting our food bank drive, we are accepting donations until Sept 6th. Please drop off donations to any near by Optima Living Community.

We’re so proud of the Aster Gardens community for coming together to support Day of Caring for Jasper! Our residents generously donated bags of bottles to raise $293.

It’s inspiring to see our community unite for such a meaningful cause!
Aster Gardens hosted our very own Mini Olympics
for a day of fun and friendly competition!

Our recent Ice Cream Social at Parkwood Place was a hit with the residents!

One resident shared their excitement, saying, “The Ice Cream party was fantastic and so creative… from the hats to the ice cream buggy, everything was so so so creative!”

Parkwood Place launched the Optima Living Food Bank Drive with a party featuring the local Mustard Seed Food Bank!

We continued the push throughout August with our Stuff the Bus event, which featured a Dunk Tank, live music, and carnival-style treats in our back garden.
The Hamlets at Penticton celebrated the 2024 Olympics with our very own Opening Ceremonies!

This memorable start to the games included a flag and torch bearer, a land acknowledgment, and O Canada performed in French by a resident!
At age 68, one of our Assisted Living residents made a life-changing commitment to run the Ironman with his son if he quit smoking—even though he didn’t know how to swim. After learning to swim as part of his training, they completed the Ironman together, and his son successfully quit smoking. We were honoured to have this inspiring resident carry the torch at our Olympics Opening Ceremony!

Everitt Gardens is stepping up to make a difference with the Optima Living Food Bank Challenge. Join us in fighting hunger and supporting those in need—
let’s be Hunger Heroes together!

Our recent market was a fantastic success, featuring 15 vendors, including residents, the team, and their families.

We raised over $1,085 for the Food Bank, thanks to everyone’s participation. Special thanks to Scotiabank, Central Alberta Co-op, and Eastview IGA for their support in making the day memorable!

We enjoyed a fun and festive Canada Day that brought everyone together for a memorable celebration!

Celebrating Culinary Services Appreciation Day at Lewis Estates! Thank you to our culinary team for their hard work in providing delicious and nutritious meals to our community.
