Every year, four residents from our community organize a garage sale. They received donations of items and goods from our neighbours in and around Sherwood Park and Edmonton.

The garage sale is set up in our bistro where anyone can purchase the donated items. A total of $740 was raised and all proceeds were donated to Strathcona Food Bank.
We had a great time at Slave Lake's annual Riverboat Daze festival, which was complete with carnival rides, a marine-themed parade, a concert, s’mores roasting, food trucks, and more.

Our Sweetgrass float was a big pirate ship on wheels, and we even had our own mermaids and sharks. We arrrr looking forward to next year!
